New Year and Season of Trade Fairs – the 35th Kaduna International Trade Fair

It is a new year and all the states of Nigeria will soon start holding Agric Shows & Fairs, Trade Fairs, Agric conferences, Seminars etc.

Coming up later this month is the 35th Kaduna International Trade Fair (KITF) which is scheduled to hold from 21st February – 2nd March 2014.

The Kaduna International Trade Fair (KITF) is one of the major events held annually by the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA).

The main focus this year is on AGRICULTURE. The theme of the event is “The Agricultural Transformation for Industrial Development: Public Private Partnership (PPP) Approach”.

This clearly reveals the important role the private sector is expected in ensuring the development/industrialization of the agric sector in Nigeria. There is an urgent growing need for the country to diversify its economy more so as there are huge potentials to achieve this. Nigeria can no longer be a mono-product economy. Diversification into the non-oil sector is the way forward.
